Hey y'all! Today I've the
Tonic Polish Holiday 2016 Collection to show you! I hope you guys didn't spend all your polish money on Black Friday sales because there's a lot of polishes coming out in the next few days that you absolutely need! This collection is one of those... it's full of shifting multichrome and sparkling holographic heaven! I've also been testing out the new top coat, Tonic Topper. Spoiler: It's awesome.
Alchemy is a red/pink to orange to gold shifting multichrome with a blue/purple shadow and a scattered holo finish with tiny silver holo microglitters. Okay, so I know this polish is for the Holiday Collection, but it totally reminds me of the fall leaves changing with the color shift (and autumn is my favorite season!). Formula was silky smooth and it's opaque in two coats. Shown below is two coats topped with a coat of Tonic Topper.

Dragon Tears is probably one of the shiftiest polishes I've ever laid eyes on. It shifts from green to blue to purple to red to peach to gold and back to green at the furthest angles. It has a scattered holo finish and the tiniest amount of silver holo microglitter. This is hands down my favorite from this collection. It's basically a rainbow on your fingers. Formula was again silky smooth on this and it is opaque in two coats, but I think you get a deeper color at three. Shown below is three coats topped with a coat of Tonic Topper.

Incandescent is a metallic ballet pink multichrome that shifts to a peach and an icy lemon yellow with a subtle scattered holo. Because this is metallic is can be a bit frosty looking at times and does have the potential to show brushstrokes. Formula was silky smooth and it was opaque in two coats. Shown below is two coats topped with a coat of Tonic Topper.

Luminescent is a metallic aquamarine multichrome that shifts softly between a pale blue and lilac purple with a subtle scattered holo. Again because this is a metallic it does have a bit of a frosty look and shows some brushstrokes. The lilac shift is much stronger in person than in my photos. Formula was silky smooth and this was opaque in two coats. Shown below is two coats topped with a coat of Tonic Topper.

Magnetic Midnight is a cobalt blue multichrome that shifts from purple to red and even gold at the furthest angle with a scattered holo finish and a sprinkling of silver holo microglitters. Named aptly after the best time of day to view an aurora since that is exactly what this polish reminds me of, an aurora. Formula was again silky smooth on this and it is opaque in two coats, but I did three for a deeper color. Shown below is three coats topped with a coat of Tonic Topper.

Stars at Twilight is a dark denim blue cream with red/pink to gold shifting multichrome shimmer and silver holo microglitters. Appropriately named, it absolutely reminds me of the stars at dusk. This base is a denim color, but when the red/pink shimmer is prominent it pulls the polish very purple looking. Formula is yet again, silky smooth and opaque in two coats. Shown below is two coats topped with a coat of Tonic Topper.

So that's it for the collection swatch photos! Now let's talk about Tonic Topper, the new quick dry top coat from Tonic. Now, this is a re-bottled top coat that Tonic is offering, but it's really fantastic. It's 4-Free (no formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate, camphor, and formaldehyde resin), but it does contain toluene. That's what gives it it's quick dry properties. As you'll see in my photo below I've been using this pretty heavily for the past few weeks and I can say that I've experienced no shrinkage, no dragging, no smearing, and no dulled holos. It's also a bit on the thicker side which makes it good for getting a smooth coat over some of those more unruly glitter polishes. It also has a super glassy finish. 10/10 Would definitely recommend. This has everything I want in a QDTC.

I have to say that I was completely blown away by how gorgeous this whole collection is. I have a TON of multichrome polishes but I have very few that stand out like this whole collection. The colors are rich and vibrant and the holo doesn't dull the multichrome shift at all. Then Tonic Topper comes out of nowhere and makes me reconsider my one top coat status quo I've been rocking for the last three years. Overall I'm very impressed with all of it.
What: Tonic Polish Holiday 2016 Collection
When: Sunday, December 4th at 2PM CST
This collection is releasing Sunday, December 4th at 2PM CST in the
Tonic Shop. Each polish will retail for $12 individually and the entire collection is available for a discounted price of $66. Now, there's also a duo being released on the 4th too and if I'm being totally honest I don't think I've ever been this stoked for a duo since these just are both such freaking amazing brands.
Tonic Polish has teamed up with
Baroness X to create a gorgeous duo that they're releasing on the 4th as well! Nichole has some gorgeous swatches of this duo over at her blog,
Bedlam Beauty. What do you think of this collection? Do you have a favorite? How broke are you going to be come December 5th? ;) Let me know in the comments!
