Different Dimension: Mystery Villain #4

Tuesday, September 15, 2015 Unknown 0 Comments

Hello! Today I have Different Dimension Mystery Villain #4, Scar! Courtesy black and white photo for those of you who don't want to be spoiled, but I promise you this is a beauty.  If you're on the fence about this I encourage you to take the leap, you won't be disappointed. If you're super on the fence and need photos before you make a decision, then this is the post for you.

So let's get to it then, here is Scar in all it's glory. This polish is hard to pin down the exact color of because it's literally just got so much gorgeous going on in it. In low light it's almost a silver gold color, but in bright lighting like in the light box (pictured) or outside it's a very vibrant gold holo with pink flakies and holo glitter. This is three coats (I was a bit sparse on the tips, two coats is fine) with a top coat of Seche Vite.

This is currently available in the Different Dimension shop for $12. It will only be available until current stock has sold out though and then Mystery Villain #5 will be making it's debut.

Vapid Lacquer: Catch Me If You Can, Mistrust, Polarize, & Stressed Out

Sunday, September 13, 2015 Unknown 2 Comments

Heyo! I'm doing pretty good with the updating of this thing this week, eh? Let's see if it lasts. I'm trying. lol Anywho! Today I have four new polishes from Vapid Lacquer for you: Catch Me If You Can, Polarize, Stressed Out and Mistrust

First up is Catch Me If You Can (Remixed!), a stunning deep teal holo that just has so much depth. Flawless formula, could be a two coater, but I did three for a deeper color. No staining. This is three coats with a top coat of Seche Vite.

Next up is Polarize, a gorgeous navy that I personally think has a tinge of a deep forest blue-green to it. Again flawless formula, no staining. Could definitely be a two coater, but again I did three coats for added depth. This is three coats with a top coat of Seche Vite.

Next one up is Stressed Out, a blurple that leans blue linear holo with some added scattered holo for good measure. Formula is again, flawless. Could also be a two coater (are we sensing a pattern yet?) but I did three for added depth. Three coats with a top coat of Seche Vite shown.

Last, but not least, we have Mistrust, a beautiful orchid purple holo. Formula is yet again, flawless. This *could* be a two coater, but I personally think it looks best at three. This is three coats with a top coat of Seche Vite.

These are exactly what I've come to expect from Vapid. Flawless formulas, amazing coverage, and gorgeous, vivid colors. You can get all four of these now as they're currently available in the Vapid Shop for $10 each.

Fair Maiden: Tauplexed & Purplexed

Thursday, September 10, 2015 Unknown 2 Comments

Hello! Today I have the limited edition Color4Nails exclusive Fair Maiden duo, Tauplexed and Purplexed! These have already been for sale once, but they will have one final restock at Color4Nails so you still have a chance to snag them! The restock date is still TBD.

First up is Tauplexed. To me this is more of a dusty lavender that leans taupe in certain lighting rather than a pure taupe. It's gorgeous. The formula was a bit more difficult than other Fair Maidens I own, but I found that doing a slightly thicker coat rather than a thin one worked better. This is two coats with a top coat of Seche Vite.

Next up is Purplexed. This is an orchid purple with blue flakies that are hard to see with the naked eye but are evident in the bottle. No formula issues with this one. This is two coats with a top coat of Seche Vite.

These are both stunning polishes which is nothing less than what I've come to expect from Fair Maiden. Keep an eye on updates from Color4Nails for when these will be restocked. You only have one more chance to get these!

Vapid Lacquer: 2nd Anniversary Trio

Tuesday, September 08, 2015 Unknown 4 Comments

Today I have Vapid Lacquer's 2nd Anniversary Trio: Faerie Dreams, Narwhals are Rad, and Unicorn Egg. So I am, admittedly, late again with swatches. This time it's not my fault though, I received these after the sale for them was over. So this post is pretty much just to provide people who have this some swatches and the rest of you to drool over.

First up is Faerie Dreams. This is a pink crelly (that looks a bit purpleish at times) with green flakies that shift between purple and blue. I had no issues with application. This is three coats (but opacity can be achieved in two) with a top coat of Seche Vite.

Next up is Narwhals are Rad. This is a blue metallic with gold and (hidden!) purple flash. Application with this was smooth but I found it to finish just ever so slightly streaky. Nature of the beast with metallics. This is three coats with a top coat of Seche Vite.

Last up is Unicorn Egg. This is by far my favorite of the three. A white crelly with pink, lavender, and baby blue glitter; dark purple micro glitter; and splash of holo. It. is. gorgeous. It's so subtle and delicate. Zero application issues with it. This is three coats with a top coat of Seche Vite.

Like I said, these aren't available any longer, but Krys has plenty of gorgeous polishes available in the Vapid Shop. All of her polishes are gorgeous and have amazing wear time. Pop on over and check them out!

P.S. Grape Stomp is a favorite of mine! Be on the lookout in the future for swatches of it.
