Glam Polish: Dance With Dragons Collection

Hey guys! It's been a while, yeah? I'm sorry for that, I'm honestly just burnt out from life. It's been far too long since I've taken a vacation from everything, but the good news is that I'm fixing that next week! So, I know I haven't blogged in almost a month (ahhhh!) but I have been working on swatches  behind the scenes like a crazy woman. So definitely expect to see a pick up in blog activity during May. :)

Anyway! Today we're back with another Glam Polish collection! The Dance with Dragons Collection is inspired by the amazing series Game of Thrones and the whole collection is breathtaking! Multichromes with holo and glitter and flakies, oh my!

The Bear and the Maiden Fair is a pink to red to copper multichrome with red to gold shifting glitter, shifting iridescent glitter, ultra holo glitter, and fine holographic glitter. This is one of the ones you'll see a ton of shift in and I love it! Applied smoothly and was opaque in two coats. I do three just because that's my preference and I feel the color pops more with that extra coat. The glitter in this doesn't cause any removal issues, it comes off very easily. Shown below is three coats with a glossy top coat.

The Dance of Dragons
is a green to blue to red multichrome with green to purple shifting glitter, ultra holo glitter, iridescent shifting glitter, and a fine holo microglitter. There are a few in this collection that I really, really love and this is one of them. There's just something about that green/blue/red/purple/pink shift that does me in. This one applied smoothly too and is also opaque in two coats with no removal issues. Shown below is three coats with a glossy top coat.

Dark Wings, Dark Things is a sapphire to violet to red multichrome with shifting multichrome flakies, iridescent shifting glitter, and fine holo microglitter. This one is one of the more subtle shifts in the collection, though still quite noticeable in the proper lighting. Much harder to capture all the shifts in one shot on camera though. This, like the others, applies smoothly and is opaque in two coats with no removal issues. Shown below is three coats plus a glossy top coat. Side note: I know it looks like it's a bit textured in the pictures but it's really not.

Kissed by Fire is a red to gold to copper multichrome with red to gold shifting microglitter, ultra holo glitter, shifting iridescent glitter, and fine holo microglitter. Love this one! Such a gorgeous coppery color. Smooth application and opaque in two coats. Shown below is three coats with a glossy top coat.

The Lion and the Rose is a red to violet to green to gold multichrome with shifting multichrome flakies, shifting iridescent glitter, and fine holo microglitter. Love, love, love this one! So sparkly, so shifty! Silky smooth application and opaque in two coats. Shown below is three coats with a glossy top coat.

Mother's Mercy is a purple to violet to green multichrome with shifting multichrome flakies, shifting iridescent glitter, and fine holo microglitter. Love the purple and the violet together in this one! Another silky smooth application that's also opaque in two coats. Shown below is three with a glossy top coat.

The Mountain and the Viper is a  sapphire to cyan to green multichrome with multichrome shifting flakies, blue to red shifting microglitter, ultra holo glitter, and fine holographic microglitter. This one reminds me of vivid blue lakes deeply set back in the forest. Excellent application and opaque in two coats. Shown below is three coats with a glossy top coat.

Rains of Castamere is a violet to blue to red multichrome with red to blue shifting microglitter, ultra holo glitter, and fine holographic microglitter. This is another one that's a bit of a more subtle shifter, at least between the purple and the blue. The red is pretty easy to see. Easy application and opaque in two coats. Shown below is three coats with a glossy top coat.

The Wars to Come is a cyan to blue to violet sheer multichrome base with a mix of shifting multichrome flakies, fine holographic glitter, and a hint of shifting iridescent microglitter. Okay, so this one is my favorite of the collection. Love the shift, love the finish, and I'm totally in love with the macro. I was the personification of the heart eye emoji while photographing/editing this one. Silky smooth application and opaque in two coats. Shown below is three with a glossy top coat.

Winds of Winter is a cyan to blue to purple to red multichrome with shifting iridescent glitter, ultra holo glitter, and fine holographic microglitter. I think this one might be my second favorite in the collection, love the shift with the shifting glitter. Excellent application and opaque in two coats. Shown below is three coats with a glossy top coat.

What do you think?! I'm in love, but I'm probably biased because multichromes are my favorite finish at the moment. These are currently available on the Glam website and for the first 96 hours the full set is available at the special price of $108! After that it will be the regular retail price of $120. So which one is your favorite? Let me know in the comments!

Glam Polish: Technicolor World Collection

Hey y'all! Today I have the Glam Polish Technicolor World Collection to show you! This ten piece collection is packed full of variety of vivid, sparkly colors inspired by the costumes, set, and music from the musical La La Land!

Another Day of Sun is a bright yellow with pink shimmer, a hint of holo, and a dash of fine holo microglitter. I'll be honest, I love this in the bottle, but on my hands... well, this color is not a flattering color on me. Yellows tend to give my pale self lobster hands. I do think this shade would look absolutely amazing on you ladies (and gents) with a darker complexion though! Application wasn't difficult, but it does do that "I look streaky, but I'll actually level out" thing that tends to happen with whites/pastels/some neons. Don't overwork it, it'll level on it's own. I used three coats for full opacity on this, but some of you may be able to get away with two. Shown below is three coats with a glossy top coat. I do want to note that the shimmer got a little lost in my photos, it's definitely more noticeable in person. Very shimmery!

As Long As It's Pure Jazz is a deep plum with a strong linear holo. This color is stunning! It's rich, vibrant and the holo is wowza! Very much digging this color! Application was silky smooth and this could easily be a one coater. Shown below is two coats with a glossy top coat.

Chasing All The Lights That Shine is the glitter topper of the collection, a rainbow mix of metallic multi-size glitter, shifting iridescent glitter, and a hint of fine holo microglitter in a clear base. So this mani ended up looking like a color combo straight out of the 80's and I love it! Application is easy. I did end up having to adjust some glitter placement on the fingers, but I didn't have to fish for the glitter in the bottle. Shown below is one coat over It's A One Woman Show with a glossy top coat.

City of Stars is a lilac crelly with shifting iridescent glitter and fine holo microglitter. This one is so delicate looking. There's something about the color lilac that just makes me think of doilies and tea parties. I think it's just the femininity that the color emanates, This one is a little on the thicker side, but that doesn't effect application. I used three coats to achieve full opacity, but two coats will be sufficient for most people. Shown below is three coats with a glossy top coat.

Here's To The Ones That Dream is a jade scattered holo with shifting flakes, holo flakes, ultra holo glitter and fine micro glitter. Okay, so what this reminds me of might be weird to some people, but this makes me think of that colored rubber mulch that you'd find at a playground but in a green color. I know, I know... that is weirdly specific, right? lol I don't know what to tell you. I'm a strange bird sometimes. I really love this polish though, that shade of green is gorgeous and it has a rather unique finish! Application on this is flawless. Creamy and opaque in one coat. Shown below is two coats and a glossy top coat.

I'll See You In The Movies is a red scattered holo with ultra holo glitter and fine holo microglitter. This one reminds me of a certain pair of ruby slippers. I think it's pretty easy to see why. Application was excellent on this one too with this also being opaque in one coat. Shown below is two coats with a glossy top coat.

It's A One Woman Show is a bright, neon pink with blue/purple shimmer, ultra holo glitter, and fine holo microglitter. I love this pink, it's blindingly vivid and makes me nostalgic for my childhood with all it's neon colors. Application was excellent on this and this is opaque in two coats. Shown below is three coats with a glossy top coat. I was hoping the third coat would help the shimmer pop more in pictures, but it got a little lost in translation. The shimmer in this is definitely more noticeable in person than in the photos.

Someone In The Crowd is a cobalt blue crelly with iridescent flakies, shifting flakies, and fine holo microglitter. This one kind of reminds of like a bird's eye view of a pool party with the way the flakies and holo seem to sort of float in the polish. Application was easy on this one too with it being fully opaque at two coats for most people. Shown below is three coats with a glossy top coat.

What A Waste Of A Lovely Night is a deep indigo with an intense linear holo effect. This one is gorgeous! It reminds me of you're miles from civilization looking at the inky night sky with just the stars twinkling adding that little bit of sparkle to an infinite abyss of darkness. Another flawless one coater application. Shown below is two coats with a glossy top coat.

Why Do You Say Romantic Like It's A Dirty Word? is a light gold intense holo with pink and peach shimmer and holo flakes. This polish is one of those always appropriate polishes. It's a gorgeous neutral color that would be good for any occasion while also fulfilling that need for holographic sparkle. Such a beauty! Application is excellent on this one as well and I think two coats would be just fine for most people, but I did three since it's such a light shade and I have crazy intense visible nail line.

So normally this post would come out before the collection, but I'm behind. Life has been kicking my ass guys. I left for work yesterday morning at 7:30 AM, after all my errands and everything I needed to do after work got done I got home last night at about 12:30 AM. That has been all too common of a theme recently. ANYWAY. All that said, that means that these are already available on the Glam Polish website! These polishes are $12 ea. or $120 for the full set!
